I have reached out to the company, but have not heard back. So I thought maybe someone on here might know… what is the difference between a 1C1 rim and a 2C1 rim for bass trombone. They both have the same dimensions, but there is no information as to the differences.

Thanks in advance.

On their website:
With the Rims +1, +2, +3 and +4
your cup will become 1,2,3 or 4 mm deeper.

The difference between a 1C1 and a 2C1 is the rim shape.

1C1 is based on a JK Cieslilk Spezial, 2C1 based on Yamaha Model Trudel.

See here for more information abou the other rims: https://www.xn--ltzsch-shop-l8a.com/en/ ... mbone.html

On one of my last visits in the Lätzsch workshop I took this foto with information about the different rims.
Please let me know if you need more information.

I understand the cup depth… it’s the rim itself that I’m questioning. The 1C1 and 2C1 both show the same dimensions. I’m guessing rim shape? Maybe flat vs rounded.
