I have a Benge 190C that I'm ready to part with, recently worked on, great slide and fantastic player.

I bought this horn after playing a student's 190F and becoming very jealous. Reality is, I just don't need it. Gonna stick with my Shires.

The 190C is the convertible version of the 190F, and so this is really two horns in one. Most importantly, like all these horns, it plays extremely well. I'm particularly impressed with the valved low range. I think I've never played a better standard rotor before than on these Benge horns. On the straight side it is light and nimble, but still warm and round. Great for light classical, etc. The slide is really good, recently worked up and a 9-9.5/10. All dings removed from bell and tuning slide.

Now for the issues: most importantly, one of the connecting braces on the valve section is a little bent, which makes converting to the valve side a little more difficult than it should be. It also causes the horn to be a little bit acutely bent in general when played with the valve section (in other words, the bell is a bit to close to the slide. I can play it just fine without my fingers brushing the bell, but I could see some people having an issue. I'd recommend taking the horn to your local good repair guy and getting it simply bent back. As I understand it, this is a decently simple fix. Hopefully the pictures are able to show this.

In addition, there are clear signs of wear on the horn, including some scratches, lacquer loss, and evidence of dent repair. Valve may need to be restrung, seems a little loose. I tried to show as much as possible in the pictures, so please look carefully. Serial number pictured as well.
