Olds Recording manufacturing timeline

Is there an accurate source for info regarding manufacturer's records for Olds trombones? Specifically the Recording model. Like the Conn Loyalist database.
Interested in knowing when it was first introduced, etc.
I’ve read that early ones made in LA had tone rings. It’d be nice to know when they stopped making the bells in that style.
I just picked up a Recording. The ad stated 1957 as the year it was made, but the owner didn’t see the entire serial number. The horn is actually from ‘62.

Other models had a "tone ring" but not Recordings.

The Super model had the tone ring - others did not. The 1949 catalog is the earliest I've seen the Recording listed.

Not sure where you would have read that. Never seen nor heard of a Recording with a tone ring. The feature that is unique to early Recordings is that their outer slide tubes are red/rose brass.
