FS: Conn 48H - Lightweight Slide 1957

Post by ttf_anonymous »

Up for sale is a 1957 Conn 48HLW "Connstellation". Nickle-silver bell, lightweight slide, 8" bell .500 bore.
The photos tell the story of the condition of the horn. Misc. surface scratches in the lacquer, wear in the handgrips, tuning slide with minor denting. The slide does have the typical wear on the inner slide stockings. The upper-inner slide has some wear halfway down. The wear has no effect on slide performance, which is about a 9 out of 10. Original case included. All latches are functional. The original owner of this horn was Dr. Charles "CP" Zlatkovich, PhD., noted Univ. of Texas - Austin accounting professor and author.

This horn plays identical to my mid-60s 48H. Very responsive to the performer. Great for jazz of course, but I've also used mine for band and chamber orchestra.

Price is $900, which includes shipping in the United States, payment by Paypal. I will sell internationally but would need to calculate shipping cost first. PM me with questions you may have. Below is a Dropbox link to additional photos. Thanks!
