Kudos to the Wheeling Symphony for expanding on the traditional job description, as well as the audition repertoire!
One of my very first professional orchestra gigs was subbing there. Beautiful town, fun place to play.

I happened to be the bass trombonist of this orchestra for around 7 years. This is a nice little orchestra that plays in a really good hall and treats its musicians well.
It is great to see that they are holding more and more auditions for critical positions. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding the gig and I will be happy to share my experience.
If you happen to live in Cleveland, Pittsburgh or Columbus, this is a MUST take for a serious aspiring professional (college student) or a freelance musician.
