Newbie
Hey folks Just joined the forum and thrilled to be part of this community. I’ve been sliding around on the trombone for a few years now—mostly into jazz and funk, but I’ll play just about anything that sounds good. Looking forward to swapping stories, gear talk, and maybe picking up a few new tricks along the way.

Welcome.
I moved your post to another Board because News and Announcements is intended for Forum related news mostly from staff to members, and for important news within the Trombone community.

I mean, what are the necessary steps a newbie like me should take?

Re: Newbie
Posting an intro is a good start, although I'd prefer you add yourself to one of the existing New Member threads on here. Don't do another intro now, though.
Then asking questions on appropriate boards will get you to the 3 posts for full membership so you can see pictures and exchange Personal Messages with other members. If you post something on the wrong board I may move it to the right one. We don't consider that a criminal offense, so don't be afraid to post something. And as far as I am concerned there are no dumb questions. You are never going to learn if you don't ask.
