FS: NY Bach Model 6iii - Vintage 1942
Posted: Wed Aug 09, 2017 4:26 pm
Up for sale is a vintage 1942 NY Bach 6iii. The specs on the horn are: 7-inch bell #425, .485" bore, #412 mouthpipe, nickel-silver handslide slide, .522" slide crook, #416 nickel gooseneck, .528"/.670" nickel tuning slide tubes, #416 tuning slide bow. Pro-tec case included.
As you will see in the photos, this horn is in very good condition! Only minor detail is a very slight crease on the edge of the bell. This was there when I purchased the horn some time ago and in no way effects the playability. No wear on the inner-slide. Action of the slide is 9 out of 10.
If you are familiar with the Model 6 horns from the Bronx, NY era, they play a lot bigger/fuller than the modern day Model 6. The above combination makes this model variance of the Model 6 one of the "smaller" models. It has an impressive upper register.
Price is $1500, which includes shipping in the U.S. with payment by Paypal. International buyers I would need to calculate shipping first. PM me with interests/questions.
Thanks!
