Rath R-900 in near-mint condition for sale.

I play tenor and wanted to double on bass, but there's not enough doubling work to justify keeping it, just lying around.

Lacquer is 100-percent

I've been searching for a bass for my grandson, a terrific HS Junior that wants to go on to major at the next level. I almost scored a Shires from this site, but it remained a little out of reach.

He has tried many horns and loves the Yamaha YBL-830. But he has never tried the Rath.  Can you (or any of your esteemed colleagues) offer any comparison/contrast between the Rath and the other brands.

Thanks.
