Does his career intersect with Vladislav Blazhevich who was conducting the "State Wind Band" in the late 30s?

It is necessary to add that during WW2 in June 1941, the entire State Wind Band (more than 100 people) voluntarily joined the Moscow people's militia. In the autumn of 1941, all the members of the orchestra-a volunteer died at the front in the battles of Vyazma during the defense of Moscow.

Another example of the terrible waste caused by war.  I hope their families received posthumous Hero of the Republic medals.

A short history of the orchestra and the fate of his musicians by strange coincidence, was practically forgotten by the state departments, public organizations, mass media. But the memory of the heroes-all the musicians is reviving the 18 March 2011 the newspaper "Evening Moscow" published an article 'Without a trace, without a memory".

Unfortunately the link on that page to the article doesn't get me anything except a 404  Image

So many people on the Soviet side died that it's not surprising that many notables are still not remembered.

Simeon Tchernetsky (1881-1950) - genius of Soviet military music

State brass band of the USSR was created in 1937, a prominent trombonist, conductor and composer, Professor of the Moscow Conservatory Vladislav Mikhailovich Blazhevich (1881-1942), who was the chief conductor of this orchestra until 1939. Before the war the Union had only two large orchestra, bearing the name of the State, – the State academic Symphony orchestra of the USSR, which appeared in 1936, and brass. SWB of Soviet Union with great success, toured the country, recorded on all-Union radio, performed with world famous Opera singers on the main concert stages of Moscow.
In the beginning of the War in June 1941, the entire Orchestra (more than 100 people) voluntarily joined the Moscow people's militia. In the autumn of 1941, all the members of the orchestra-a volunteer died at the front in the battles of Vyazma during the defense of Moscow. A short history of the orchestra and the fate of his musicians by strange coincidence, was practically forgotten by the state departments, public organizations, mass media. But the memory of the heroes-all the musicians is reviving the 18 March 2011 the newspaper "Evening Moscow" published an article by Catherine Petunias Without a trace, without a memory.
There is hope that journalists and other media will not leave without attention to this Memory and the history of the Orchestra would take its rightful place in the annals of patriotism of the people of our country and in the creative heritage of Russian culture. In connection with the approaching 70th anniversary of two major historical events - WWII and the battle of Moscow would be justified and appropriate to establish a memorial Board of an Orchestra in place of his speeches and organize a memorial concert. Not superfluous would be and other activities to perpetuate the memory of SWB of the USSR.
