I've been thinking about arranging moonlight serenade for trombone choir. I'm going to be honest. I've never arranged anything. So what would be a good starting place for arranging this. I've found some scores online. Should I transpose it to bass clef and b flat. And then what would I do about the range of it. I know some of it goes pretty high. What should I do about that?

Starting from a score is a good idea. Transposing to bass clef also.

B flat... not necessarily, just find a voicing where it sounds and lies well on the trombone.

The range is not an issue, you can choose the octave. Of course, if all you write is pretty low, your arrangement will sound muddy.
