Copper leadpipe search

I am in the process of getting a 525/547 nickle slide for my Edwards horn.
I need a 525 copper leadpipe.
Edwards does not have any. BrassArk is pricey and 3 or 4 months turn around. MK Drawing has bronze and I am waiting for a turn around time from them. Chuck Alexander is gone. I have ran out of suppliers.
Any ideas of where I can find a 525 copper leadpipe?

If your heart is set on a true "copper" pipe Brad Close with Brass Ark is really the only guy who makes them. It's worth the wait and the price. I love Brad's pipes.
Plenty of guys out there make gold brass pipes though which have similar characteristics to copper pipes. MK drawing and Shires both would fit the bill.
To be honest though the only reason I play a copper pipe is because I got it for cheap. I think the reason I like the pipe so much is because of Brad's craftsmenship not really because it's copper.
The seamed pipes are very unique and are worth a blow if you haven't tried one. I'm a fan. Not sure I'd use one in every horn but in my Minick it works very well.

I can't speak to the copper pipe, but I have tried the M/K 525 Conn style pipe in both yellow and bronze and they were excellent!

Hmmmm....I don't think my leadpipes are "pricey". Brasslab charged $185 for a drawn yellow pipe. I charge $130. They charged $400 for a drawn nickel pipe. I charge $170. As far as I know, I am the only one who makes seamed pipes. They are extremely difficult to make, so they do cost more than drawn pipes. You can't fairly compare the price of a seamed leadpipe that nobody else makes to a drawn leadpipe that everyone makes. Also, my MV36 in drawn yellow brass is a really good pipe and I get a lot of orders for it. Would be a good choice if you don't want to pay the extra money for a seamed pipe. Email me any time if you want to discuss.

I've blown on a .525/547 standard Edwards slide with the (probably drawn) yellow MV36 pipe. It's very nice, nicer than any of the standard Edwards pipes, though most similar to a #3 IMO.
I'm definitely thinking about ordering one for my .525 single bore Edwards when I'm a little less broke!

I've got a couple of the Brassark seamed copper in a few different sizes including .525 (and a couple of drawn yellow) and have to say I'm a fan. They're not the cheapest pipes you can find, but they're waaay better than the Conn or Bach. I don't have any experience with the MK pipes, just not quite the parts I had been looking for.

I am not sure. But the funny thing is that I am not sure what I want. Being the last one, I just took it. Good price and quick lets me get my project done. I can change it later if I wish.
