I recently acquired a Conn 71H whose tuning slide is pretty beat up. The damage could be repaired, but I think it would make more sense to replace the crook. Does anyone know if replacement crooks are available for this trombone? I compared the tuning slide from my 83H and a friend's 72H and while the legs were the same size, the crooks wer wider (about 1/4") than the 71H. Could this be due to assembly differences? Allied doesn't list any Conn bass trombone crooks, though the do have other 72H parts. I was also wondering if a 112H or current 62H crook would fit. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a tuning slide crook in raw brass, never mounted... couple of little nicks. You would need to have your legs mounted on it and then buffed and lacquered. PM me if interested.

If for some reason you'd be interested in making it TIS, I have a spare J bend too.
