Hello everybody!
I was just curious if anybody has had any recent experience with Edwards 502-i bass model? I'm curious what you all have to say about it.

More consistent across ranges than almost any other horn out there. Lots of focus. For me, a little boring and not quite open enough below the staff. I'd like to play one again, though.

I am sitting next to one. I have gotten to play test a number of them over the last week. They are my favorite horns. Edwards made some changes since the early models and I like them.

How do the new artist rotors compare to the rotax valves?

I played a couple of them about 6 months ago, and they were just great. I can’t speak to how they compare to Rotax valves specifically, but the Edwards rotors were easy and blew really nicely with the dual bore slide.
I tried the slide out with my own independent axial setup, and it felt great with that too, so go figure!
