Elkhart Conn Tuning Slide 2 digit numbers?

Does anyone know if the 2 digit number on the top of the rear tuning slide and the 2 digit number on back of the bell, where the tuning slide meets the bell, should match if original? Thanks!

They should. I think thats why they're put there.
