I am about to order New inner slide tubes to my 1924 Conn 78H... How do You measure the length of the tubes?.. From the end of the stocking up to where the bell receiver starts? (friction fit model), and should both tubes be the same length?

Re: Inner slide length
The measurement is from end to end. The lower inner slide is longer than the upper. I recommend that you order two “lower” slides and cut them to custom lengths.
The Conn 78H is a very unique inside bore (.522 inch). You probably have very few options for finding that size, M/K drawing would be my first choice for those slide parts. Another thing to remember is that the most important measurement is the difference between the outside of the stockings and the inside of the outer tube. The difference should be .009 to .012 inch.

Exactly... I am on conversation with M&k.. I have given them all possible measurements.. The length i have given them is the entire lower leg. From the bottom to the bell receiver..
