Student horns?

Post by whitbey »

I do not know about student horns. It has been 5 decades since I had one.

I know the bottom end china horns are junk.

The student horn that is out there for trombone and trumpet. What brands are good? And where are they made?

Someone I know is wanting to get a horn for there kid to learn on.

A lot of my students start with the Yamaha, Getzen, or Conn 18H or 22H.

Some music stores have had good success renting / selling King 606 and the similar Bach TB300.
The ones I have seen have been better than many of the Chinese wannabes.
Nice to play, and they can be reconditioned and resold a few times.
