Hello,
I have a King 2B Jiggs Whigham and I love its lightweight slide.
Recently I bought a King 3B and was wondering if I could find a 3B lightweight slide for it.
It is possible? If so, Are they sold separately?
Thanks!

I don't think King produces a lightweight slide for the 3b. The slide has outer tubes that don't have the drawn-in stocking, and I've never seen that on a 3b, just on the Jiggs 2b.

Yes, they do - sold with the '3BL' of recent years.
Conn-Selmer parts code for the LW slide alone is TM090220F - your local C-S dealer should be able to order one

Oh wow, I was wrong! Any idea on how it played compared to a regular 3b slide? The loss of weight has to do at least a little to the sound.

Haven't tried a 3BL, but imagine the difference is much the same as swapping a regular 2B outer with a Jiggs outer - looser flexibility, faster but lighter response, quite a bit of core disappears. On mic, it's all good, off perhaps less so. (2B+ is a bit different as you're changing material too.)tbonesullivan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 2:18 pm Oh wow, I was wrong!
