Re: King 605 Info
It's a student level horn, but based on the several that I have tried they out-perform expectations; but I am somewhat of a fan of the older King and Olds student horns. They are easy to play and can make a great lead-jazz band horn for a high school or college student.
The only downside is the plating on the inner slide - I think it is nickle, not chrome, and tends to wear down to the brass.

Re: King 605 Info
My King catalog from 1973 shows .491 bore and 7 3/8 bell.
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing!
