Morse tapered Remington pieces -shank length

Post by Tbarh »

I was wondering about when You modify a Remington shank to Morse taper , must You also adjust the shank length ? I would like too keep the long sweeping backbore of the original Remington. I would also like to keep the short distance between the end of shank /backbore and the Conn leadpipe venturi ( newer Conn leadpipe with Morse taper receiver)
Thanks !

The Remington mouthpiece I used to have could not be converted to the Morse taper. You would create a cookie cutter (for very small cookies) with the end of the shank. And some of the length would be lost.
