Tribute

Post by tbdana »

Thanks in large part to the encouragement of some kind TCF folks (how serious they were I really don't know), I actually have an album coming out!

What began as a fun vanity project to measure my progress after 30 years away from music has now morphed into an actual formal album, which is being pressed on CD and vinyl, and will appear on all the regular streaming services.

1. The Shadow Of Your Smile
2. Body and Soul
3. Pure Imagination
4. La Zorra
5. For The Cats
6. The Googies
7. Reflection/Alone (from Wakanda Forever)
8. Ridin' The Main Line
9. Oblivion

Each tune is offered in tribute to someone important to my musical journey. In doing this project I have found my musical voice! Something I didn't even know I had.

I'm old and self-promotion feels icky, so I'm a little embarrassed to post about this, much less actually release it. I have no business holding myself out as someone worth listening to. But here we are.

When everyone stops laughing, there are actually good arrangements and performances on this. The band is incredible. I'm amazed they let me play with them. :)

I'm pretty sure my spouse will buy one. Not sure about anyone else.

Wow, I will certainly try to find it on my favorite streaming service once available.

Thanks for sharing!
