FS: Bach 42T and Conn 8H

Post by ttf_jimbeano »

Hello,

I am trying to thin out the heard a little.  I have a Bach 42 from the early 90's with one of the really early stainless thayer valves which was installed by Chuck McAlexander. Horn isn't a beautiful specimen.  Shows signs of lacquer wear on the bell.  Also, where your right hand holds the slide, that bar needs to be either replaced or patched.  My hands must be pretty acidic and have eaten through it over the years.  Slide action is honestly the best I have ever felt in my career. Lead pipe has never been soldered in, and I will include around 10 unthreaded pipes made by Chuck including a MV replica, and the original pipe.  Comes with a Bam French Style case which runs around $300 brand new.

Also, I have a 8H with regular weight bell and 3 removable lead pipes. I am the original owner of this horn.  Its around 10 years old.  It has been played very sparingly and it shows.  Only wear at all is some lacquer wear on contact points on slide.  Slide is great, bell is great.  comes with the 3 lead pipes and original hard case in great condition.  pictures ready upon request.

asking $1600 for the Bach, and $1350 for the Conn OBO.  We'll also have to figure out shipping.  For pictures or additional questions, please see my email which is located in my profile.  Thanks!
