Shires large tenor for sale.

Tru-bore valve. 2 valve caps included, 1 normal weight, 1 heavy weight.

TW47 slide. 3 leadpipes included. Numbers 1,2 and 3.

Standard yellow brass tuning slide.

Yellow Master Series bell. This bell is similar to a medium weight 7 bell. Soldered rim. It has a very even response and sound throughout all registers. Works very well with this set up. Produces a large, clear sound. It also blends very well in a section. This bell is like all Shires bells in that it can fit on any set up.

Shires Vintage 5G mouthpiece included. Like new condition.

Bags of Spain case included. Recently purchased. Like new.

The instrument is in excellent condition with lacquer loss and wear in normal spots. Some lacquer loss on neckpipe, some lacquer loss on hand slide and main tuning slide. No dents. Slide action is a 10. Valve works perfectly. Bell is in like new condition.

Pictures available upon request. Feel free to email or PM me.

Would you mind posting pictures of the valve caps? I'm curious to see the difference between them.

Would you be interested in parting out?

I'm not able to post any pics of the valve caps. They look very similar, one is just a little bit heavier.

I'm not not quite to the parting out stage yet. Still trying to sell as a complete horn.

Thanks!

Hi, sorry about the site trouble. There's a stick at the top of this section that explains the problem in detail. The tl;dr is that the site it a little bit old and the owner has limited contact with the admins. We haven't been able to clear the cache, its handled on the server side which us admins don't have access to.

What most people do to post photos is either link to them with a cloud service like Google Drive or Dropbox OR post them to an image sharing site like Imgur and then link the images here.

I'm currently working on a fix for it, but I've been out of town for most of this month and haven't had the time.  Sometime in the near future we'll likely have a work around though, so bear with us in the mean time and sorry for the inconvenience!

Also let me know if you decide to part out this horn, I may be interested in the TW47. If so, send an email to kenhurstmusic at outlook dot com rather than replying or messaging on the forum because it seems that I'm not getting any notifications of new posts or messages.
