Hello All,
I'm doing a quick spring cleaning of some stuff that I just don't use anymore (i.e. tenor stuff)
For sale I have a...
Shires 1RT7 Bell - $550
Brass Ark 5G.1 Mouthpiece (Mt. Vernon copy) - $100
Brass Ark MV42 Seamed Copper leadpipe, threaded for shires - $125
King Tempo trombone, great shape - $250
Let me know if you want any pictures or more information on anything, everything must go!

What year or period is the tempo from? And what is its condition? Would like to see photos

How would you compare the MV42 to a standard Shires leadpipe? Is it tighter or more open than, say, a #2? Thanks.

I haven't played tenor in a while, but I would say it was more open than the #1 lead pipe that I used. It was certainly more focused than the no. 3, but I'm not sure I ever did a comparison with the no. 2. The sound was really colorful, and I really liked the articulation when I played on it.

It felt tighter than a Shires #2 - probably closer to a 1.5, but it plays and sounds different to Shires pipes.
I have only tried the drawn yellow MV42. I do have a BrassArk Elk8H in seamed copper - the seamed copper definitely adds an interesting sound blossom and some extra character. It's pretty cool!
