Also, if you are in the Baltimore/D.C./NOVA area, you can come play test the horn if you'd like!

FS: Nice Elkhart Conn 88H
For sale, an Elkhart 88H, in really nice shape.
Please see the link below for pictures, this horn is in pretty great condition for its age, no significant dents, only a few minor dings on the throat of the bell and the tuning slide. Mechanical condition is superb, and there is no loss of plating on the stockings (pretty rare for Elkhart Conns, in my experience). The most conspicuous flaw is a good amount of pitting on the gripped areas of the slide, this horn was clearly played a LOT. If that bothered you, a set of leather grips would cover them up nicely, and this horn would look amazing.
Horn is a great player, plays on the lighter side for a Conn 88H, has a super easy high range.
Comes with the original case, and an interesting mouthpiece. It's a Vincent Bach Corp 6 1/2 AL, with 88H stamped on the throat. I am assuming this was meant to better fit a Remington shank. It fits it very well, but my standard shank Doug Elliott mouthpiece fits it just fine as well. I normally don't include mouthpieces with horns I sell since everyone has different things that work for their face but it was such an interesting find I thought I would throw it in.

Thanks for looking!

Forgot to mention, I can throw in a Conn counterweight to go with it, if so desired.

Still available, willing to hear reasonable offers as well! (Not interested in trades generally, however if you've got a really nice single valve bass, I may be interested).

A few nibbles, but no bites. I can make one final price drop to $1400. Great deal for this horn!
Oh, a few people have asked about the serial, it's an "N" series, N09XXX.
