Wessex - no more altos?
No altos on their webpage.

Maybe they forgot to add it when they started the new fancy Website.
For some reason an Alto is the only trombone I would cheap out on and buy.

I talked to a rep on the phone a few months ago about this, actually. They discontinued the large bore alto (which is a shame because those played awesome and I really wanted to buy one), but the rep told me they were working on a replacement model with a valve. I also asked about that large bore soprano trombone with a valve they had on their website for a short time before pulling it. The rep told me that they pulled it because there were problems with the quality of the batches they were receiving so they wouldn't put it back out for sale until those had been corrected and it had become an instrument they were satisfied with.
Not a word on either of those things since then...seems like they only care about their new tubas right now.

I'm not one to believe REP's when it comes to any industry as it seems like they can and will tell you anything they hear, think, or just plain make it up with no repercussions if they are wrong. But if the above is true, it is nice to hear.
