Anyone tried one of these in their trombone? What were the results?
Thanks!

Re: Nickel silver leadpipe
I've read the descriptions of what they can do, but I was hoping to hear the perspective of someone who's actually played on one.

Re: Nickel silver leadpipe
I had a 2.5N for a Shires 508 horn. I found that their description to be very accurate:
With it being a 2.5 it was well balanced for me and that horn. But it gave more of an ease of articulation than going even to a 508 "1" pipe. It's limiting of the flexibility was less prominent. Some pipes are super flexible, albeit not focused, like their Ralph Sauer pipe; this was not at all like that despite its taper being somewhat similar to the 2.5 from my understanding.brilliant and clear, crisp articulation and response (can limit timbral flexibility)

Nickle silver is going to be brighter and somewhat metallic as opposed to brass. I would consider that only if you had a horn that was rather dull, but of course the human element may call for some changes as well.
