Rudy Muck 2H trombone

Post by virtualhaggis »

Has anyone any experience with the Rudy Muck 2H trombone? It seems to have been part of their collection for the London distributor "Dallas". It is stamped as foreign made so not made in the USA factory. I read somewhere that they used Courtois for some foreign made trumpets.

Cheers,
Michael

I gather by the silence that nobody has played one. There is virtually nothing on the Internet about it. Someone said it that they heard it was a bit like a Bach 6, but I see no first hand reviews. I am trying to decide if is worth a punt for £70 on the off chance it may be a hidden gem.

If you do decide to buy it, I have an early gold plated Ruby Muck m/p "hand made", and it's either a 23 or a 28 model (stamping unclear) that I don't use or need. It's very shallow with a large throat..

Yes - I was wondering if it would need a special mouthpiece to match the receiver or leadpipe. Although I don't think it is that old. Possibly the 50s?

I was swithering until the last minute on E-Bay but the possibility of a vintage bargain got the better of me. I will at least post a review here for future purchasers.
