How Can This Be?

Post by Pre59 »

I have a King 2103 USA, with the black weight, clear lacquer, and light engraving down the bell spout, bought by me new in the early 2k's.
But, checking the 911*** serial number on the C/S site it tells me that it's from 1983/84 of which I'm informed should have the darker lacquer and different bell markings etc, It also has the flatter non coffin shaped case.
I'm thing about moving it on and this paradox has been brought to my attention.

Your thoughts please.

Bob.

King was a part of UMI from 1985 on, they changed the serial number system. The next owner did the same. Your serial number has nothing to do with the Pre Umi serials.

Thanks for info, are there any other sites with this info?
