Anything interesting, horn-wise at TMEA?
I'm headed to the TMEA Convention in San Antonio, Texas tomorrow to help my friend shop for tubas. I will also take a look at the trombones they have on display there. Does anyone know of anything particularly interesting that will be there?

I thought they already did? They were hyping up Peter Moore on Instagram and his reserve model HornVegasbound wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 12:33 pm Not sure if it will be there, but Getzen have a new model due, and sometime soon will unveil a new big name artist

I'll see what they have on display at the Getzen booth and report back with my notes. I'm bringing a notebook to keep track of what I play and think.

Honestly, I thought most of the Getzen horns were nothing much to write home about. To me, they were just meh. What turned out to be my favourite horn of the show was the 396A by Edwards, but because it felt like I was playing the horn I have at home. I also tried some of the Carbon Fibre horns at what I think was the Butler booth, but I found those to be stuffy even if they were paperlight.
