THE WALLACE TROMBONE
It is a 7-1/2 bell
I believe it is a Model 2
the serial # is 494
2
494 this is how the numbers appear on horn
On slide is says" PAT.APLD.FOR"
Bore size? I don't know that
the slide movement is very good, a little plating worn off on a small area on one inner slide
Art deco type engraving on bell - SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED comes with mouthpiece
I am contacting this forum/chat to find out what a fair price might be for this trombone or if there is anyone interested in the horn. contact: [email protected]

Re: the wallace trombone
It may be I have the same model. I remember I checked the bore to be .522 and the bell to be 7.5", no weight and the brace in the tuningslide is straight.
I have a picture of MY horn were the model number clearly says NO 2 as you can see below the dog. The dog is said to belong to Spike Wallace and was a common motif on these horns..
Can you see a model number on your horn?

There is a 2 over the 494 so I think it is a model 2
Any idea what this would sell for?
I am not a trombone player so I am looking to sell it.
thanks

Also I am not that familiar with this chat forum, I don't get notified when someone responds to my posts
Is there a setting that I need to change in order to get emails or some notification when I get a response to my posts? I gave my email when I joined the chat forum.

Wallace-Williams horns don't command the same sort of prices as the later Williams trombones.
If you check the Sold Items at BrassArk (http://www.brassark.com/sale/), you'll see that Noah sold one a while back; his asking price was $1,500. I'd say that's towards the upper end of the price scale (as one would expect from a dealer with Noah's reputation).
