Hi folks,
Do any of you know of major differences between the Yamaha YSL-646 and the newer YSL-640 horn, or the 645/630 straight equivalents? Would love to try them out, but don't have the funds to buy/try all of them!
A lot of the players I like play on this size equipment, and I like my 3B+ quite a bit.

Re: Yamaha 640 vs 646?
646 was replaced by 684, which was in turn replaced by 640.
I believe 646 had a string linkage while 684 and 640 have direct linkages.
Otherwise, they are similar.

Thanks, Bruce - that makes sense. String vs. mechanical, and probably quite similar otherwise. Once I get rid of a horn or two, I'll give one of these guys a shot.
