FS: Meinl und Lauber Eb Bass Sacbut

I am selling a Meinl und Lauber Eb Bass Sacbut pitched at 440.  It has not been used very much and is in excellent shape.  As can be seen in the pictures, the tuning slide can be extended far enough to put the instrument in D, which can be very useful in certain situations, since the slide has the usual bass sacbut 6 positions.  The instrument was based on the Ehe bass sacbut from the early 17th century.  For better or for worse, the the slide shank/receiver where the slide and bell come together was converted to a modern tapered shank and receiver with a locknut (apparently a Bach).  This does not effect the way it plays, but may provoke disapproving glances.  The bore is .500.  It includes the case but no mouthpiece; the mouthpiece receiver accepts a tenor trombone shank mouthpiece.  The price is $4500. plus shipping, and paypal is preferred.  My email is    [url=mailto:[email protected]][email protected][/url]     Pictures can be viewed at        https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0QG4TcsmGQa1Yu
