*Note: I am not looking to part this horn out, I am looking to sell the whole thing.
Selling an Edwards large Bore in excellent condition! Check out the specs, this is a pretty standard setup (and would be a good starting point on an Edwards where you could eventually swap out components for others that are better suited to your playing):
* 321CF Bell (yellow brass, 22 gauge, unsoldered rim, CF treatment)
* T-BCN slide (.547 Bore, yellow brass, nickel-silver bass crook)
* Edwards axial valve with edge bracing (looks to be installed after the fact), with custom wood trigger lever, and Edwards bullet brace
* Gold brass single radius tubing slide
* Two leadpipes. One is a #3. The other has non-standard markings so may be either an older leadpipe or a copy, but was sold to me as a #1, and definitely plays less open than the #3. The #3 is a bit too open for my playing, so I prefer the "possible" #1.
Condition is excellent both cosmetically and mechanically. I've tried to highlight flaws in the pictures. Lacquer is roughly 98% present through the entire bell section. The lacquer on the outer slide was mostly gone or blemished when I got the horn, so I removed what remained and polished it. There are no dents on the slide (including the crook), the valve section, or the tubing slide. Bell flare has two very minor dings.
Slide action is excellent, 9 out of 10, and valve and tubing slides are functioning perfectly.
This horn is a phenomenal player, and found it surprisingly easy to play, especially with the #1 pipe (for me, horns with axial valves and bass crooks tend to suck the air out of me, but this one did less than most).
Please contact me with any questions! ] If you're in Baltimore, D.C. or the NOVA area, we can definitely arrange a play-testing!
