Here’s a just for fun question. Trying to decide which horn to use for a song tomorrow. Pretty sure I know which one I’ll use, but want to hear from others. My euph, French horn, or tuba are not in play for this. (Tuba only gets considered for ensembles) No input from leader, all my choice of horns. My “music” is the guitar chord chart. Basically improv.
Song: Son Of Suffering by Bethel Music. (Can be found on YouTube if you’re not familiar with it
Yes, it contemporary Christian.
Gonna do it in C tomorrow. We usually do it more upbeat and driving than what’s online. Think higher brass notes from either horn.
Our band this week: Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, and whatever horn I’m holding.
First song I will be playing trumpet, second will be trombone. No issue switching horns for the third.
Should I play: Trumpet, or tenor trombone for this song?
As long as you pick one of these, there is no wrong answer!

You didn’t think I’d ask this question on this forum and play my trumpet did you? King Cleveland Superior took the song, didn’t even try my MF trumpet out on it during practice!
