I was on GB 1 3/8 for two months. But I'm back on Bach MT Vernon 1 1/2g. Why? Well, simply because it's more fun to play. (for me.) More close to what I want to express. It probably sounds the same.
I have a Douglas Yeo mouthpiece, sounds almost like a Mt Vernon. But a little bigger. The strange thing is that I can play both. But the smaller one feels more fun to play. Legato is easier on smaller mouthpieces. It's important for me to sound vocal.

Mouthpieces are a very individual thing. What works for you may be wrong for somebody else. I find bigger pieces work better for me on small bores, go figure. Glad you found your sweet spot piece.
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing!
