This is a Holton TR159, a dual bore, 547/559, 9" bell, with F attachment (with 2 tuning slides). Rose bell. Nickel silver outers, yellow brass slide crook. In really nice shape. 99% lacquer. No dents. Few imperfections. Great slide. Original case in very good condition. Fantastic big sound. Great deep bottom range. I used 5G and 2G on this, and it responds beautifully at both ends. I think it plays as well as my 88h as an all-around horn, and much better in the low range.

I was going to experiment with an Eb slide on the attachment to use this as a single trigger small bass, and it sounded great, but I've decided to go a different direction with a 70h, which is more appropriate in that role.

If you need a horn like this, this is a great specimen, with a really great big sound.

If you're interested, make me an offer. Possibly open to trades. No lowballs please, I'm not desperate.

This instrument is in great condition. Looks and plays great. Original case is also in good condition. Slide is 9.5/10. Depending on your mouthpiece choice, this can be a powerful tenor or a small single trigger bass.

Would like to trade for a 36b. Or make an offer. Pm or email in profile.
