FS: Holton TR181 bass trombone!
Very nice Holton TR181 independent, double-valve bass trombone here. This is a stock 181 with the usual specs: 10" red brass bell, nickel-silver slide, yellow brass crook, split triggers, and Bb/F/D tuning.
GREAT player! Original case. $1800 shipped in the US.

Okay, photos here:

And here are some corrections for my description:
The horn is, as I said above, in great shape BUT... there are a few minor issues that I failed to mention. There are two dents - one on the main tuning slide and one on the bell throat. There is also a ding on one of the outers. I have to wonder if I did this, since I don't remember it being there when I got the horn. Anyway, I can feel a slight ripple when moving the slide. The slide is otherwise excellent. Alignment is good and inners have no plating wear.
I can have my tech address these issues. Or knock a couple hundred off the price.

Sale pending... Cat not included!
This cat is so cool. I had left a down vest on the couch before this photo shoot. I watched her crawl into an arm-hole and wiggle up until she was completely inside the vest - and then she took a nap. Probably the warmed, coziest nap ever!

I had a former teacher lose faith in the fraternity of tubists and quit school, and quit the tuba. He took a Meinl-Weston CC, flipped it upside down in a gig bag, lined the outside of the bell with kitty litter and used the gig bag with horn inside as a litter box for the years it took for the bag to disintegrate and damage the horn.
Cats love to be warm, but they hate tubas. hah ah hah hah ah a

This horn has been sold.
In the future, please don't discuss cat urine on any of my threads. In fact, just stay off my threads altogether. Thank you.
